As Jamar’s parents, our original intention was to place the memorial bench at the location where Jamar was tragically taken from us. After much thought and reflection, we decided instead to place the bench at our home. While that location will always hold significance in our journey for justice, we wanted Jamar’s memorial bench to be in a place where family, friends, and loved ones can visit often and keep his memory present in our daily lives. For us, this bench is not only a tribute to the loss of our son, it’s a celebration of the life he lived and the impact he continues to have on his loved ones. #GoneButNeverForgotten
